Hoi, ik ben Berend van der Eijk

Why LifeChanger?

Excess weight, stress, mental health issues, and persistent aches and pains are problems that an increasing number of people are facing. Such issues rarely arise suddenly; rather, they build up gradually as a result of our day-to-day activities. Yet, we typically look for a quick fix.

That is why I started LifeChanger: to provide knowledge and practical tools that help you develop the right habits—habits that support your quality of life in the long term.

Many health issues do not arise all at once. They develop alongside the way we live.

The Solution

Small steps that actually stick

Among my clients and in my own circle, I see the same thing time and again. We look for a quick fix for a problem that has had a long time to develop. A strict diet. Doing physical therapy exercises for a few weeks. Taking a few days off when stress levels get too high.

That might help a little in the short term, but the underlying cause remains. As soon as you start feeling better, you fall back into your old patterns and end up right back where you started.

Lasting change begins with the choices you make almost automatically every single day. What you eat when you’re tired. How much you sit. What time you go to bed. How you handle stress. Doing it once makes no difference. Doing it a thousand times does.

  1. A ChoiceInnocuous in itself, and therefore easy to ignore.
  2. RepetitionIf you make the same choice often enough, it eventually becomes automatic.
  3. A habitYou don’t think about it anymore. It’s just what you do.
  4. Your healthAfter months and years, you see the results in your weight, energy, mood, and body.

The same mechanism that leads to health issues can also be harnessed to improve your well-being. That is why LifeChanger is not about quick results, but about habits that last.

My Story

I know how it feels

The fact that I do this work is very personal. I have personally dealt with health issues that significantly impacted my quality of life. I struggled with anxiety and feelings of depression, sustained various injuries, and developed an autoimmune disease.

It was during that period that I realized just how significant an influence my own habits had. They weren’t a magic cure, but small, targeted changes to my daily routine truly made a difference in how I felt. At the same time, I also discovered how difficult it is to sustain those changes.

My Vision

Part of the solution lies with us

Stress, excess weight, mental health issues, and physical problems are increasingly affecting our quality of life. At the same time, the pressure on the healthcare system is growing.

Healthcare is indispensable. However, it is unrealistic to expect it to be able to solve every health problem for everyone. Therefore, when it comes to health issues in which lifestyle plays a major role, we also have an important part to play ourselves.

I want to contribute to a society in which people understand how their lifestyle relates to their health, in which that knowledge is accessible to everyone, and in which individuals can take steps themselves before problems escalate.

My Mision

Helping people regain the knowledge, insight, and control regarding their own health.

Not with complicated theories, but with clear explanations and steps you can start applying as early as tomorrow.

My e-books provide general lifestyle information and do not constitute medical advice. If you have any health concerns, please discuss them with your GP.
